Volunteer Committees

The Two Lake Club, Inc. and our community rely on the participation and effort of volunteers in everything that we do.  Our officers and board members volunteer their time, as do the following committees and their chair-people.  If you are interested in participating in or chairing one of the following committees, please contact us at twolakeclubinc@gmail.com.

Beach Committee

Committee Chair - Sheila Smith

This committee is devoted to the centerpiece of our community - our beachfront, picnic area, play area and boat launch.  Hosting our yearly beach clean-up in the early spring, the beach committee is always in need of more hands to make lighter work in ensuring we all are able to enjoy the community space that we value so highly.

Gardening Committee

Committee Chair - Colleen Harris

This committee maintains and modifies the plantings at the entrance to both our neighborhood community as well as our beachfront and picnic area.  If you are interested in helping out, have ideas or even plants/flowers that you would like to donate for planting, don't hesitate to contact Colleen!

Social Committee

Committee Chair - Trevor McGinn

This committee has been dormant for the past year plus as a result of COVID-19, but we are hopeful that this coming year we will be able to return to more normal operations.  In a typical year, the social committee hosts our annual July 4th picnic, as well as periodical beachfront bonfires we know as, "Fire & Ice" - a BYO evening with a cooler provided to keep everything chilled.  In coming years, keep a lookout for more community activities, such as progressive potlucks, Halloween activities, and more!

Five Year Plan Committee

Committee Chair - Greg Nikel

This committee is our big picture group – tasked with envisioning what larger work projects and events our community might like to pursue in the coming years.  This committee will also create an evolving capital works plan and budget to ensure that the large projects and improvements desired by our community members don't unduly burden the Two Lake Club's budget.

Fundraising Committee

Committee Chair - Mallory Womer

This committee is committed to planning and hosting fundraising events and efforts within our village community, with an aim towards maintaining the stability of our annual dues/fees.  Any extra coin in the coffers is a boon to all, and this group will seek to find productive and beneficial events that help ease the burden of increased operational expenses.

Safety & Sustainability Committee

Committee Chair - Trevor McGinn

This group will focus on creating a safer neighborhood for all, with an eye also towards ways we can reduce our carbon footprint.  Look for a survey in the coming weeks that gauges community interest in some of the specific measures this committee is considering to accomplish these broader goals.
