July 4th Picnic

Our annual Independence Day Picnic will be held on Thursday, July 4th, at 12:00PM.  This year we will host our traditional potluck meal.  We ask that all families planning to attend and celebrate with their neighbors bring a dessert or side dish to share.  For homes with an odd number in their address, please prepare a side dish - for those with an even number, please prepare a dessert!

BULK GARBAGE Pick-uP - Wednesday, June 12th

​

Our annual bulk garbage pick-up will take place beginning the morning of Wednesday, June 12th.  Please be mindful of the following guidelines when determining what you will dispose of:

​

• Don’t use this pickup for anything that your carter will accept in your regular weekly collection(s)

• Give away or donate anything that can be reused (We suggest giving household goods and clothing to Goodwill, the Katonah Community Center, or the Vietnam Veterans of America)

• No household chemicals (paints, etc.)

• No yard waste (leaves, old mulch, etc.)

• No construction debris (broken boards/beams, etc.)

• No electronic waste (printers, computers, etc.). Lewisboro collects e-waste at Recycling Center behind the Town House (11 Main St) Saturdays 9:00AM – 12:00PM

You can start putting things out the weekend before the pickup – at the end of your driveway or along the street in front of your house.

Twin Lakes egg hunt

​

On Saturday, March 30th, the Two Lake Club will hold a walkabout Egg Hunt for children and families of all ages!  Families will meet at the beachfront parking area, and join in the hunt!  Interested in having the tour make a stop at your home in the future?  Email mewomer@gmail.com to volunteer and for more details!

Halloween Parade & party

​

Gather at the corner of Orchard Drive and Twin Lakes Road for a costumed parade down to the beachfront picnic area! With holiday themed treats and activities, it promises to be a delightfully spooky good time!  If you are interested in volunteering to help out, please contact Katie Watkins by email at kaitlinhansonmath@gmail.com.

Fire & Ice

​

On the first Friday of each month, the beachfront picnic area plays host to all interested community members for a BYO evening of relaxation and conversation by the firepit.  With fire to keep warm, and a cooler to keep your beverages cold, what could be better on a spring or summer's night?  The evening starts at 5:30PM and usually wraps up sometime around 7:00PM.  If weather precludes this gathering being held on the first Friday of the month, it will be held the following day at the same time.  Please be prepared to carry out your recycling/waste when you leave!

Throughout the year, members in good standing are welcome to use the beach front for swimming and entertaining as well as for social and civic engagement.
